The Canadian Construction Association is pleased to announce Mr. Wayne Morsky as 2010 Chair of the Board of Directors
March 23, 2010 – The Canadian Construction Association would like to announce the election of Mr. Wayne Morsky as the 2010 Chair of the Board of Directors. Mr. Morsky was sworn in March 21st during the CCA’s Annual General Meeting, he takes over the position from Mr. Brad Greene.
Previously Mr. Morsky has served as the First and Second National Vice-Chair of the CCA, Honourary Secretary / Treasurer and is Past Chair of the CCA Environment Committee.
Mr. Morsky is a senior partner in The Morsky Group of Companies, a 55 year-old family owned and operated business involved in diverse sectors of the construction industry, including: land development, general contracting, transportation and minefield infrastructure, soil reclamation and stabilization, environmental remediation, pipeline construction, and rail line maintenance.
In addition to his involvement at CCA, Mr. Morsky has served as past president of the Roadbuilders and Heavy Construction Association of Saskatchewan and past chair of the Western Canadian Roadbuilders Association as well as a founding member and President of the Regina Chapter of The Canadian Association of Family Enterprise (CAFE).
Mr. Morsky views the upcoming year as an opportunity to focus on critical issues and challenges facing the non-residential construction industry such as the looming human resources shortage, engaging the Aboriginal community, and the continued investment in Canada’s critical public infrastructure.
