CCA Person of the Year

Leadership and excellence in construction is recognized in the Person of the Year Award, presented annually by the Canadian Construction Association.

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is proud to sponsor this award and trophy in honour of its past chairman Robert Stollery, to recognize his contribution to Canada's construction industry.

An active participant of the construction industry for more than 40 years, Robert Stollery's construction career grew from journeyman bricklayer and plasterer to Chairman of the Board of Directors at PCL, Canada's largest construction company.

The individual is the leader of a company or a significant leader within the company whereby, as a result of his leadership, both he and the company demonstrate excellence in the construction industry.

CCA General Contractor Award of Recognition

The Robert G. Saunders Memorial Trophy was donated by the Saunders family in 1997 to honour the memory of Robert G. Saunders, whose contribution to the Canadian construction industry symbolizes the qualities for which the trophy is awarded.

The General Contractor Award of Recognition is presented to a CCA general contractor in recognition of their commitment and dedication in support of Canada's construction industry and, in particular, the pursuit and promotion of excellence in the General Contractors Sector of the industry.

CCA Trade Contractor Award of Recognition

The Dobbelsteyn Memorial Trophy was donated by the Dobbelsteyn family in 1969 to honour the memory of Ernest Dobbelsteyn who was, for many years, an active member and supporter of the CCA Trade Contractors Council.

The Trade Contractor Award recognizes the outstanding contribution made by a CCA trade contractor to the construction industry in general, and in particular, to the CCA Trade Contractors Council.

CCA Excellence in Innovation Award

The Hugh R. Montgomery Memorial Trophy commemorates the life and work of Hugh R. Montgomery, a past president of CCA, who gave generously of his time and experience for the general well-being of the industry. His first concerns were development that would increase the speed and quality of construction.

The Excellence in Innovation Award is given for innovation in Canadian construction practices.

CCA Environmental Achievement Award

This national award was created in 1991 to recognize the innovative or exemplary environmental conduct by a member firm or a member association of the Canadian Construction Association.

The purpose of the award is to identify, encourage and promote technologies, products, designs and construction practices, which serve to protect or improve the environment.

CCA Manufacturers, Suppliers and Services Award of Recognition

The CCA Manufacturers, Suppliers and Services Award of Recognition was created in 2008 to recognize outstanding contributions made to the CCA Manufacturers, Suppliers and Services (MSS) Council and the Manufacturers and Suppliers sector. The purpose of the Award is to promote the Suppliers sector of the construction industry and to highlight the activities and initiatives of the MSS Council. Nominees are judged for their outstanding contribution to the CCA Manufacturers, Suppliers and Services Council and to the pursuit and promotion of excellence in the Suppliers sector of the Canadian construction industry in general.

The CCA International Business Award

The CCA International Business Award was created in 2008 to recognize the outstanding activities, programs or accomplishments of a Canadian-based business or association active in the construction industry in the area of international business or trade. The purpose of the Award is to promote such international business activity and to highlight the activities and initiatives of the CCA International Business Committee.

CCA Roadbuilders Award of Recognition

The CCA Roadbuilders Award of Recognition was created in February 2000 and is presented to an individual for outstanding service and contribution to the Road Building and Heavy Construction Sector. Nominees are judged for their contribution to business (growth, innovation, and values); support of association activities (at a national, provincial, or local level); and local community involvement (sports, civic duty, charitable works).
